About

The network for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Lund University (AIML@LU) is a university wide platform for research, education and innovation in the area. The network has been formed to consolidate these activities and simplify contacts with students, industry and society as a whole.

Machine learning and artificial intelligence has been on the curriculum at Lund University since the 1980’s. Today, AIML@LU represents a multidisciplinary research and innovation network, of particular relevance for the increasingly applied versions of AI & ML in our everyday lives, technologies and platforms.

Beyond being a research area of its own, AI & ML is therefore also representing a set of methodologies with vast potential for innovations and business development as well as for research within disciplines like medicine, social sciences, the humanities, and  more.

In addition, AIML@LU also represents scholarship on challenges and consequences of AI & ML as applied in society - such as ethical, cultural or legal.
